BPS: Basis points
अंग्रेजी में का BPS full form “Basis points” है। हिंदी में बीपीएस का फुल फॉर्म “आधार अंक” होता है। इसे “bips”, “beep”, “beeps” या “points” भी कहा जाता है। एक आधार अंक (BPS) ब्याज दरों और अन्य वित्तीय साधनों के लिए माप की सबसे छोटी इकाई का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। एक बेसिस पॉइंट 1 प्रतिशत के सौवें हिस्से या 0.01% या दशमलव रूप में 0.0001 के बराबर होता है। 1 प्रतिशत अंक प्राप्त करने में 100 आधार अंक लगते हैं। इसी तरह, एक भिन्नात्मक आधार बिंदु जैसे 1.5 आधार अंक दशमलव रूप में 0.015% या 0.00015 के बराबर है। आंकड़े आमतौर पर वित्त में आधार बिंदुओं में उद्धृत किए जाते हैं, विशेष रूप से निश्चित आय बाजारों में। उदाहरण के लिए: बांड बाजार में, एक आधार बिंदु का उपयोग उस उपज को संदर्भित करने के लिए किया जाता है जो एक बांड निवेशक को भुगतान करता है।
