Computer का full form Common Operating Machine Purposely Used for Technological and Educational Research है। पर Computer एक संक्षिप्त रूप नहीं है, यह “गणना” शब्द से बना एक शब्द है जिसका अर्थ गणना करना है। तो, सरल शब्दों में आप कह सकते हैं कि कंप्यूटर एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरण है जिसका उपयोग तेजी से गणना के लिए किया जाता है। हिंदी में कंप्यूटर का नाम का संगणक है।
कंप्यूटर क्या है?
कंप्यूटर एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरण है जिसे सूचना के साथ काम करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। कंप्यूटर शब्द लैटिन शब्द ‘computare‘से लिया गया है, इसका मतलब है कि गणना करने योग्य मशीन या प्रोग्राम करने योग्य मशीन। बिना प्रोग्राम के कंप्यूटर कुछ भी नहीं कर सकता है। यह द्विआधारी अंकों की एक स्ट्रिंग के माध्यम से दशमलव संख्याओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। शब्द ‘computer’ आमतौर पर सीपीयू और आंतरिक मेमोरी को संदर्भित करता है।
