DCP का फुल फॉर्म क्या है?

DCP: Deputy commissioner of Police

DCP का full form “Deputy commissioner of Police” है। हिंदी में डीसीपी का फुल फॉर्म “पुलिस उपायुक्त” होता है। यह भारत में पुलिस विभाग में एक पुलिस अधिकारी का रैंक है। जो पुलिस अधीक्षक (SP) रैंक के बराबर है। इस अधिकारी का रैंक प्रतीक चिन्ह कंधे पर एक स्टार के ऊपर राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक है। डीसीपी का पद केवल शहरों में ही मौजूद है।

DCP कैसे बने?

एक IPS अधिकारी को 4 साल में एडिशनल SP या DCP के रूप में पदोन्नत किया जाता है। एक डीसीपी आमतौर पर IPS अधिकारी के रूप में न्यूनतम 6/7 वर्ष होते हैं। डीसीपी बनने के लिए पहले एक IPS अधिकारी होना चाहिए जो UPSC के माध्यम से सीधी भर्ती के माध्यम से या राज्य पुलिस सेवा से पदोन्नति द्वारा चयनित हो। एक सीधे भर्ती किए गए IPS अधिकारी पाँच वर्षों के भीतर SP के स्तर तक पहुँच जाते हैं। और राज्यों में एक सीधी भर्ती किया हुआ पुलिस उपाधीक्षक [DSP] 14 साल की सेवा पूरी करने के बाद स्तर पर पहुंचता है।
